Literacy & Numeracy in a Financial Context - Modular Programmes
Twelve-hour literacy and numeracy course of nine lessons, aimed at learners with underlying skills, knowledge and understanding at Level 1, but for whom the consolidation of those skills within a financial context would be appropriate.

Short Programmes
Ten, three-hour taster modules which provide examples of lesson plans for delivering literacy and numeracy within a financial context, including bank accounts, supermarket shopping and savings. Forms a 30-hour course covering Entry Level 1 through to Level 2.

Money Scenes
Suggests literacy, numeracy and ESOL activities using photographic prompts of everyday financial situations, such as at the supermarket, the Post Office, or using a vending machine. Supports the development of speaking and listening skills and those learners at pre-entry and entry 1 and 2 level.

Jointly produced with the Financial Services Authority to help people gain an understanding of different financial products.
Covers some of the common products that consumers choose; basic bank account, home and motor insurance, savings account (ISA), credit cards, mortgages. Includes examples of different types of copiable documents

Confident Consumer
This pack is intended to support the delivery of consumer education programmes. The materials are aimed at young adults who have literacy and/or numeracy learning needs, and who may be unable to access consumer information and skills from other sources. It consists of the CD Confident Consumer, together with sample course delivery modules, session outlines and suggested support materials.
