The Basic Skills Agency Numeracy Box

Numeracy Box

The Numeracy Box is provided to secondary schools by the Basic Skills Agency as part of the Welsh Assembly Government's National Basic Skills Strategy for which the Agency has lead responsibility. The Numeracy Box is part of the Agency's campaign to promote numeracy and raise standards at Key Stage 3. Other aspects of the campaign include television advertisements produced by BBC Wales, posters, maths games and competitions and a new numeracy publication for use by pupils working with a supporter.

The numeracy box includes:

- Individual whiteboards
- An OHP calculator
- Place value cards
- Number lines and sliders
- Target boards
- An overhead grid pack
