Phase Two of our campaign to support the National Basic Skills Strategy for Wales kicked-off on October 5th 2002 with a TV and radio advertisement to encourage parents to read with their children. The campaign promoted a free Read with Me guidance book that gives advice and information to parents of 3-7 year olds who want to know how best to help their children to read and enjoy books.
The Read with Me book contains guidance on how to support children who are at the early stage of reading and three popular and colourful picture stories. The book also lists some organisations and services which provide information on reading.

Customers can instead order printed copies of Read with Me from the Basic Skills Agency at NIACE, or download the resource from the link below.
