Wales Annual Conference 2004: Tackling Disengagement
Annual Conference

The Basic Skills Agency 2004 Wales Annual Conference on Thursday March 18th looked at how to engage people in the learning process.

Hosted by BBC presenter Huw Edwards, the conference at the All Nations Centre in Cardiff explored how drama, physical activity and sports can be used to help keep people motivated to improve their literacy, numeracy and language skills.

The conference also looked at how the National Basic Skills Strategy, which is being overseen by the Basic Skills Agency on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government, is helping in the drive to raise standards of basic skills among people of all ages across Wales.
