A Review of Schools’ Programmes – Strategic Intervention Grants, Training Grants, Quality Mark. June 2007

This review aims to consider the extent to which progress made by pupils on catch-up programmes is being sustained; basic skills continuing professional development is impacting on practice; the impact of interventions and training is monitored.

In addition, the findings have also been used to consider the implications for Quality Mark assessment procedures and to decide whether recommendations for changes need to be made.

To inform this review a sample of pupils who received catch-up support in 2004-2005 in each of the 22 LEAs was tracked.
