A Review of Practice in Family Programmes in Wales

Aim: to describe the extent to which family programmes in Wales demonstrate good practice.

The evidence was collated from forty eight classroom observation reports from visits to adult only and joint adult and children sessions in all twenty two LEAs.

The review is in three sections:-

  • Main findings and recommendations
  • Planning and management
  • Quality of teaching and learners' experiences in the classroom.
The main findings and recommendations from the report will be used to support the integration of Family Programmes into mainstream provision.
