Financial Literacy

What Are Our Aims, Objectives & Plans?

The NSP for Financial Literacy has been set up as a new project in Wales. The aim of the project is to use Financial Literacy as a context for improving literacy and numeracy skills in addition to improving financial capabilities.

We are committed to improving literacy and numeracy through the context of financial literacy in line with the Welsh Assembly's 'Words Talk, Numbers Count' Strategy. We do this by:

  • Disseminating effective ways of delivering literacy and numeracy in a financial context further information on Development Project pages
  • Delivering training to basic skills practitioners to increase their capacity to delivery financial literacy to learners
  • Developing resources to support the delivery of financial literacy programmes.
